Project Description

/ UKRAINE
Capacity building for Survivors in Ukraine

Start date: 2025.

CONTEXT

Beyond the humanitarian emergency, Survivors of conflict-related sexual violence in Ukraine face a long-term challenge: personal, social, and professional reconstruction. In a society where sexual violence remains taboo and voices are often silenced, it is essential to equip women with the tools to share their stories, express their needs, and assert their rights. Communication thus becomes a fundamental lever for empowerment and transformation.

The project:

In partnership with WICC – Women’s Information Consultative Center, Stand Speak Rise Up! is implementing the project “From Reducing Suffering to Personal Development.”

Through training sessions, expert-led guidance, and the provision of tailored communication tools, the project aims to strengthen Survivors’ expressive skills and document recurring patterns of sexual violence in wartime contexts.

Logistical, material, and psychological support is provided to ensure their active and safe participation.
